Tuesday, 8.10 – Dinner at Cafe Claude in Financial District.

Wednesday, 8.11 – Burger and drink at Hotel Intercontinental’s bar.

Friday, 8.13 – Drinks at Four Seasons lounge, another place (that I can’t remember) and ended at Infusion Lounge.

Saturday, 8.14 – Get the keys to our new place in the ‘burbs.

Sunday, 8.15 – Checked out Burlingame Ave. and its farmer market. Had lunch at Zambra’s. Sadly, it was one of the worst tapas experiences I’ve had! Perhaps we’ll be living in the ‘burbs, but dining in the city.

Sun, 8.8.10 – Dinner at Slanted Door.

Sunday, 8.1 – Dim sum at Yank Sing. Then we watched the Giants beat L.A.

7.16.10 – My sister and her family made it to SF for a visit. We hung out and walked around Mission Creek and AT&T Park.

7.17.10 – Took my sis and family to Union Sq. to ride the Powell Hyde Cable Car.

We walked around Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, checking out sea lions and taking in lunch at Fog Harbor.

That night we watched our nephews while my sister and bro-in-law went to dinner at Jardiniere.

7.18.10 – My wife took the boys to the Exploratorium while I showed my sis and bro-in-law around Sonoma.

There were some initial obstacles on the wine country trip (traffic due to Infineon Raceway, a marathon in downtown Sonoma, and  a power outage!) but we did make it to Gunbun and Chateau St. Jean among others as well as a drive along the coast on the way back to SF.

7.19.10 – Did a bus tour of the city and then made our way to Yank Sing for some dim sum.

In the evening, we had dinner at Public House and then some birthday cake back home for my nephew.

7.20.10 – Went out with some friends, getting drinks at Elixir Lounge and a bite to eat at Pakwan.

7.24.10 – Met up with cuz at 21st Amendment.

Afterwards, I met up with her for lunch at Hayes Street Grill.

That evening we saw the film Knight and Day and had dinner at Thirsty Bear.

July 3, 2010

Drove down to Half Moon Bay and checked out Moss Beach Distillery.

We really enjoyed sitting on their outdoor patio.

Fri, 6/11/10 – Met up with bro at Serpentine.

Sat, 6/12/10 – Picked up bro and headed to Sonoma. Started out at Gloria Ferrer, then wine tasting and picnic at Gundlach Bundschu. Afterwards, we drove down the Pacific Coast Highway. We had dinner at B44 that night and then a drink at Hotel Palomar.

Along the way, we saw some nice sights, including the snow-capped Mt. Shasta.

Eventually, we made our way to the town of Jacksonville, OR.

It was a quaint little town in Southern Oregon and our 1st stop there was at Gary West for some cheese curds and microbrews.

Next up was some wine tasting at South Stage Cellars.

We ended the evening at the Jacksonville Inn, where we had much to eat and drink, including some bacon infused Bourbon.

5.29.10 On Saturday, we arrived at our destination – Cannon Beach, OR.

We enjoyed walking around downtown, had some drinks at Bill’s Tavern and I purchased my 1st growler.

Finished up the night with a drink at Ye Olde Driftwood Tavern.

5.30.10 Had breakfast at Pig N Pancake then off to Ecola State Park for sis-in-law’s wedding.

We ended the night with dinner at Doogers.

5.31.10 It’s back down the coast and a return trip to California. On the way, we saw some beautiful scenery and stopped to take in the Redwood National Park.

We spent the evening in Eureka, CA, staying at a great B&B called Carter House.

We really enjoyed the property – from having an entire floor to ourselves to the complimentary wine/cheese offering at happy hour and cookies/tea in the evening. Too bad that the town of Eureka was less than desirable with its unsavory inhabitants.

6.1.10 – 4 mo hours in the car but before reaching San Fran, we stopped in Healdsburg, CA.

While there, we made a pilgrimage to the Bear Republic.

At night, we had dinner at Suppenkuche in Hayes Valley (SF) and drinks at Place Pigalle.

6.2.10 Back in SF, we headed to the Giants/Rockies game.

6.4.10 Met up with friends at Momo’s then sushi and drinks at Tsunami.

It’s stories like this, that will help me get over New York and love San Fran that much more….
